Location of Finestrat.
Finestrat is a coastal municipality in the province of Alicante, in the Valencian Community, Spain. It is located in the northeastern corner of the Costa Blanca, belonging to the Marina Baja region. Finestrat is part of a conurbation with Benidorm and has around 6,000 registered inhabitants.

How to get to Finestrat.
If you are looking for a way to get to Finestrat, you should know that it is located about 41 kilometers from the city of Alicante. The closest train station is the RENFE Station in Alicante, from where you can take urban buses that will take you to the Alicante Bus Station. Once there, you will find several buses that leave daily to Finestrat.

Festival in honor of Sant Antoni del Porquet: This tradition, one of the oldest in Finestrat, is related to the raising of a pig for later sacrifice. It takes place on the winter solstice and consists of the young people of the town walking the pig to collect donations from neighbors house to house. Subsequently, an auction is held with the collected products and meat products are raffled among attendees.

Holy Week: During this time processions and religious representations are held, combined with recreational activities such as the traditional climb to the Font del Molí to enjoy the "mona" on Easter Monday.

Night of San Juan: On the summer solstice, a centenary festival is celebrated in which young people light bonfires on the beach of Cala de Finestrat and jump over them. Music, pyrotechnics, dances, gastronomic tastings and bathing in the sea are part of this celebration.

Patron Saint Festivities in honor of San Bartolomé: These festivities have been held for more than a hundred years around August 24, the day on which San Bartolomé, patron saint of Finestrat, is commemorated. During these days devotion is combined with fun.

Cala de Finestrat Festivals in honor of the Tourist: In the second week of September, the end of the summer season is celebrated with festivals, parades and other activities for both residents and visitors in Cala de Finestrat.
